Orders of Knighthood

The Squadron uses three Orders of Knighthood:

  • The Most Honourable Military Order of the Bath
  • The Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle
  • The Most Noble Order of the Garter


The Regulations:

General Regulations

Changing of Orders:

  • Gentlemen and Esquires may not use the in-game clothing item "Military Sash" (nor "Elegant Sash").
  • All recipients of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George still in the Squadron are to turn in said Order.
  • Based on the regulations below, a new Order will be awarded to take the old Order's place.



The Most Honourable Military Order of the Bath

The correct sash colour of the Order of the Bath.


Requirements:

  • The officer must have been promoted to the rank of Knight
  • The officer may have any British country except Scotland as his country of origin in his background story.

Titles:

  • The officer's full Order rank will be: Knight Companion of the Most Honourable Military Order of the Bath / Dame Companion of the Most Honourable Military Order of the Bath
  • The officer may use the prefix "Sir"/"Dame" with his/her first name (Ex.: Sir Gabriel Laurence).
  • The officer may use the post-nominal letters "KB" or "DB". (Ex.: Sir Jack Naseby, KB)

Uniform display:

  • The officer may use a red "Military Sash" (see the correct colouring to the right) on his in-game uniform.
  • The officer may place the Order Badge at the hip of his sash on his out of game avatar.
  • The officer may place the Order Star on the left lapel on his out of game avatar.

Coat of Arms:

  • The officer may use a Knight's Helm above his Shield.
  • The Officer may display the Order Badge hanging from a red ribbon beneath his Shield.



The Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle

The correct sash colour of the Order of the Thistle.

Requirements:

  • The officer must have been promoted to the rank of Knight
  • The officer must have his country of origin as Scotland in his background story

Titles:

  • The officer's full Order rank will be: Knight Companion of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle / Lady Companion of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle
  • The officer may use the prefix "Sir"/"Lady" with his/her first name (Ex.: Sir Roger Maxwell).
  • The officer may use the post-nominal letters "KT" or "LT". (Ex.: Sir Anthony Dixon, KT)

Uniform display:

  • The officer may use a dark green "Military Sash" (see the correct colouring to the right) on his in-game uniform.
  • The officer may place the Order Badge at the hip of his sash on his out of game avatar.
  • The officer may place the Order Star on the left lapel on his out of game avatar.

Coat of Arms:

  • The officer may use a Knight's Helm above his Shield.
  • The Officer may display the Order Badge hanging from a green ribbon beneath his Shield.



The Most Noble Order of the Garter

The correct sash colour of the Order of the Garter.

Requirements:

  • The officer must have been promoted to the rank of Viscount
  • The officer may have any British country as his country of origin in his background story.

Titles:

  • The officer's full Order rank will be: Knight Companion of the Order of the Garter / Lady Companion of the Order of the Garter
  • The officer may use the post-nominal letters "KG" or "LG". (Ex.: Lord Wilmore, 1st Earl of Northumberland, KG)

Uniform display:

  • The officer may use a blue "Military Sash" (see the correct colouring to the right) on his in-game uniform.
  • The officer may place the golden Order Badge ("Lesser George") at the hip of his sash on his out of game avatar.
  • The officer may place the Order Star on the left lapel on his out of game avatar.

Coat of Arms:

  • The Officer may display the coloured Order Badge ("Greater George") hanging from a blue ribbon beneath his Shield.
  • The Officer may have a Garter encircle his Shield

Roster

If you are a Knight you must choose either Scottish or English association and enter the correct code under Orders_of_Knighthood= (replacing none). kb (Knight of the Bath) for England and kt (Knight of the Thistle) for Scotland. Please note this is case sensitive.

If you are a Viscount or above you should add the Order of the Garter, to do this ad kg (Knight of the Garter) to the kb or kb. E.g. kbkg for England and ktkg for Scotland. Please note this is case sensitive.
